May 25-31, 2020
Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center: At approximately 8:33 a.m. on May 30, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender struck the officer in the back of the head with closed fists. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer did not initially seek outside medical attention, however several days later he went to the hospital for injuries sustained during the assault. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Potosi Correctional Center: At approximately 7:04 p.m. on May 30, 2020, an offender assaulted an officer. The offender struck the officer in the facial area with a closed fist, knocking the officer unconscious. Additional officers responded, the offender was secured. The officer required outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
