Missouri was one of the first states to offer reparative activities in all of its adult institutions. Each offender is given the opportunity to participate while incarcerated.
Offenders in our facilities create handmade quilts that are donated to Missouri schools and organizations for fundraising auctions as well as to people affected by natural disasters. Offenders volunteering in sewing and crochet projects in our restorative justice programs also crochet hats for newborn babies, sew diaper bags for low-resource families, and create weighted blankets for children on the autism spectrum.
