Weekly advisories summarize serious assaults on corrections officers and other staff members in the line of duty as well as major disturbances and other significant incidents occurring in Missouri Department of Corrections facilities.
Nov. 16-22, 2020
Southeast Correctional Center: On Nov. 16, 2020, two officers were assaulted by an offender. The offender threw feces at both officers, striking one in the hands and one in the facial area. Both officers did seek outside medical attention. Conduct violations will be issued.
Jefferson City Correctional Center: On Nov. 18, 2020, a staff member was assaulted by an offender. The offender purposely grabbed the staff member by the buttocks. The staff member declined outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Moberly Correctional Center: On Nov. 19, 2020 at approximately 1:45 p.m., an officer was assaulted by an offender. The offender spit on the officer’s arm. The officer declined outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Boonville Correctional Center: On Nov. 20, 2020, an officer was assaulted by an offender. The offender charged at the officer, knocking him to the ground. The officer did seek outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Potosi Correctional Center: On Nov. 22, 2020 at approximately 12:02 p.m., an officer was assaulted by an offender. The offender threw a cut of urine and feces on the officer, striking him in the facial area. The officer did seek outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
Moberly Correctional Center: On Nov. 22, 2020 at approximately 10:05 p.m., an offender assaulted an officer. The offender pushed the officer out of his way. The officer did not seek outside medical attention. A conduct violation was issued. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
