Eastern Reception, Diagnostic & Correctional Center: At approximately 8:50 p.m. on Sept. 26, 2019, an offender assaulted an officer by kicking the officer in the groin area. In addition, the offender was able to assault the same officer and two additional officers by pepper spraying them. Additional officers responded and the offender was secured. Two officers declined outside medical treatment, but one sought outside medical treatment. A conduct violation was issued for this assault. Any assault may be referred for prosecution.
